Installation Guide
1. Position the shear stud on the marked location through the metal deck onto the steel beam flange.
2. Insert the ceramic ferrule collar around the stud base to shield the weld arc.
3. Weld using an approved arc-stud welding gun per AWS D1.1 procedures.
4. Remove the ferrule once the weld has cooled and inspect the weld collar for a full 360° fillet.
5. Space studs as specified in the structural drawings before pouring the composite slab.
